CITI TRENDS LOGO

I just finished my latest project for my graphic design class. We had to search Savannah for horrible logos (wasn’t a difficult task) and re-design one of them. I chose to re-design a logo for a store called “Citi Trends.” It’s kind of an urban-”thug” everything XXXL kind of store. The original logo made it look like Citi Trends was the kind of place you’d go to buy a baby shower gift. I hope my newly designed logo would help give some clarity to the stores purpose- and maybe more of a hint to what they sold. Let me know what you think!

    Nice work… I’ve never been a fan of the “cop out” taking letters and dressing them up as a logo, but it’s not overt here so it works. It has a distinctive “vibe” and visually is striking.

    Now, about the real-world citi trends. yeesh, that’s some awful type. Comic Sans-y meets Citibank meets handwriting. scary stuff.
